The Why

Art isn’t just making things for me — it’s a Calling. I make art to honor legacy, to tell stories that history too often forgets, and to encourage folks to glimpse the greatness inside of themselves. My work is based on the idea that imagination is a powerful light that can smash through walls, raise up neighborhoods, and bring about change for the better, even from child to child. Each work,1 whether comprising graphite, watercolor, or digital media, has a reason: to document culture, to celebrate iconography, and to demonstrate that success is not geographically constrained. The "why" is easy — to make a mark that lives long after the canvas.

The Who

My name is Corderro Stith I am a self taught artist, entrepreneur and the owner of WELIGHTITUP LLC. With 10+ years working in traditional and digital media, I have collaborated with schools, museums, nonprofits, and communities to develop meaningful and engaging artwork. I started as a love for drawing and turned into a mission to inspire creativity in others. From teaching and commissions to murals, I approach each project with precision, authenticity, and vision – with the hope that my work will inspire people to imagine what’s possible.

The When

Now is the time. We are in an age where creative culture is more important than ever. My work exists to remind us that legacy is not something we bide our time to build—it is something we make every day, through our choices, our artistry, and our connections.
